ChicagoFIRST wishes the best to an outgoing Board Member
Walter Lefmann has retired from his position as the Director of Security at CTC Trading Group LLC, an options market-making firm and as a Board member for ChicagoFIRST. Walter had various roles at Goldman Sachs, Hull Trading Company, and Motorola. He began his career as an experimental physicist at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Walter holds a PhD, MPhil, and MA in Physics from Columbia University, and a BS in Physics from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Walter has been an active member of ChicagoFIRST for many years, carrying membership across transitions through several firms, and was always excited for the opportunity to give back and serve the organization.
We wish Walter all the best in this new chapter in his life. Walter has volunteered to stay on as a Board Officer and we truly appreciate the continued support with his experience and talent.
